Krankque: Enterprise Reputation Management & CRM with a Location-Based Review System
Reviews, reversed
If you manage a business, you probably already know that the importance of customer reviews cannot be overstated; in fact, they can make or break your business’s reputation. But what if there were a platform where you and other business owners could leave reviews about clients? This is exactly what Krankque offers – an innovative platform focused on businesses while reversing the roles in the traditional review model.
Krankque enables companies to evaluate clients and oversee client relationships within a unified, structured CRM environment. There are several functionalities in the system, such as:
Reputation management
Client review system
CRM functionality
Multi-user accounts for companies
Geography-based client tagging
Mobile and web platforms
The client approached Weelorum at the earliest possible stage, when the project was just an idea. From there on, Weelorum took the concept and built it from the ground up. Besides, the developers took ownership of the entire product lifecycle, including:
- Product discovery.
- Design of the UX/UI.
- Framework architecture selection and planning.
- Front, backend, web, and mobile development.
- Product release.
- Support.
Client Goals & Business Tasks
When you want to build a complex and fully functional software product, starting from scratch without the technical expertise can be quite intimidating, and this is the situation that the client found themselves in. The client came to Weelorum with an early-stage vision but lacked:
- a Minimum Viable Product (MVP),
- a technical roadmap,
- UX designs.
At this stage, the client was in the market for a competent technical partner to transform the vision into reality.
One of the client’s big asks was to allow only legitimate businesses to register on the Krankque platform. The credibility of the service had to be safeguarded through a strict verification system. Achieving the goals of the entire product scope meant having a good product strategy and the technical expertise to deliver the vision of the client.
The entire product scope had additional goals, like:
Creation of a reliable company verification system
Implementation of multi-user accounts for companies
Facilitating collaboration in teams
Implementing location-based tagging for clients
A scalable architecture for supporting long-term platform growth
Challenges in System Development
The process of building this project to completion was really complex and involved more than just absorbing and executing a client specification. The technical team had to research and solve technical problems as they arose. Some of the challenges included:
Challenge 1: Building a Product from an Idea
When the client approached Weelorum, they had only a business idea, so the development team had to run a full discovery phase to lay the groundwork. The team also had to set a realistic timeline and budget. By the end of discovery, Weelorum had become a genuine co-author of the product and assisted in defining the following aspects of the platform:
- Core functionality of the product.
- The system framework.
- Deciding the priority features.
- Setting the development roadmap.
- The technology to be used.
- Timeline expectations and budget estimates.
Challenge 2: Designing a Reliable Company Verification System
An important factor was limiting Krankque to only legitimate businesses, as loopholes could compromise trust. The DUNS Number verification, which acts as a global identifier for businesses, was initially considered to fit the purpose. The huge flaw with it was that the numbers are publicly accessible, making impersonation a reality. The team had to come up with a different verification mechanism that is Google-based, and companies have to pass it to access the platform.
Challenge 3: Combining Reputation Management with CRM Logic
A balance between businesses leaving reviews about clients and the needs of teams managing clients through a structured CRM process had to be found. The developers at Weelorum had to find a database schema that allowed reputation data to be tied directly to CRM entries. This resulted in a hybrid product architecture that the client originally envisioned.
Challenge 4: Location-Based Client Tagging
This challenge was more than just integrating Google Maps because the goal was to give a geographic context to every client interaction so that reviews and CRM records could be tied to specific places. Weaving the geographical data into the CRM gave it context and ensured that it was functionally embedded into the workflows.
Challenge 5: Multi-Platform Ecosystem Development
The client needed a native iOS and Android application, a robust backend, a web-based administration panel, and a landing page. This meant various development teams had to align to create a unified ecosystem, matching the client’s long-term vision.
Implemented Solutions
Weelorum addressed the challenges of bringing the Krankque product to life through rigorous planning and by coordinating the various teams to develop custom solutions on the go.
Discovery and Product Definition
A comprehensive discovery phase to transform the client’s raw idea into a structured development plan was conducted. This discovery process laid the groundwork for every subsequent stage that followed with cooperation between different teams. The purpose of the discovery phase included:
- Clarification of business requirements.
- Identifying user workflows.
- Deciding the priority features of the MVP.
- Choosing the right technology architecture.
- Planning the phases of development and key delivery milestones.
Custom Company Verification Workflow
Weelorum designed a custom company verification workflow to ensure that only legitimate businesses operate inside Krankque. The validation is Google-based; businesses have to pass the verification system before gaining access to the platform. This is a critical trust layer that protects the credibility of businesses and strengthens the integrity of the entire ecosystem.
Reputation Management and CRM Core Features
The core functionality of the platform was to create a single environment where businesses could handle client reviews and structured client relationship management. Reputation data is not isolated from the workflow and is part of the CRM system, creating a streamlined process. Using the Krankque platform, companies can achieve the following:
- Writing client reviews.
- Client record management.
- Tracking of reputation history.
- Collaboration between internal teams.
Location-Based Review and Client Tagging
A client-tagging system powered by the Google Maps API, which enabled businesses to connect reviews and client records to geographic locations. The platform gives businesses a new client data point by embedding geographical intelligence into CRM and reputational processes.
Native Mobile App Development
Scalable Backend and Web Admin Panel
The backbone of all the operations of the platform lies in the backend infrastructure, which facilitates operations like:
- Managing company accounts.
- User roles and permissions.
- Reviewing data.
- CRM workflow.
- Administering the platform.
The panel gives the client full visibility and control over the platform, like managing users plus companies, and the overall platform activity.
Team Collaboration and Role Management
Multiple user functionality is supported on Krankque, which allows businesses to set up workspaces for employees to jointly manage client records. Permission controls on the platform can be used for accountability and assigning roles.
